Burnakura Gold Mine to recommence mining

ATW Gold will recommence mining at its Burnakura Gold Mine in Western Australia.

The mine, located in the western part of the Yilgarn craton, is currently undergoing refurbishments, which are set to be completed by 2009.

According to the company, the site’s primary and secondary crushers, mill, leach and absorption tanks have been reinstalled and are ready for commissioning. Final modifications are to be completed by early 2009.

ATW is currently seeking tenders for the mine, with production to get underway in March 2009.
