HATCH will work with Metorex to upgrade the Kinsenda copper mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Hatch will refurbish rock and man-hoisting systems, and upgrade water and sewage systems.

The global supplier to the mining industry will also update power systems to boost mine production from 30kt to 75kt per month.

Metorex, an independent mineral resource and processing company, hopes to build an ore stockpile to commission the new concentrator plant.

The project is scheduled to be completed by July 2009.
