Outotec copper concentrator finds way to Russia

OUTOTEC will deliver concentrator technology topping $335m for use in a porphyry-copper project in Russia.

The company will design and deliver a new copper concentrator to Russian Copper Company for use in its Miheevsky project in Chelyabinsk.

The concentrator equipment will include two large semi-autogenous (SAG) grinding mills, each with a diameter of 11m, and twelve of the world's largest flotation machines.

The Miheevsky concentrator plant is expected to treat 20Mt of copper ore each year, and is expected to be commissioned by early 2012.
